Students at Saint Joseph's are given every opportunity to participate in a wide range of sporting activities.
Students from Year Three to Six are given the opportunity to compete
in a range of interschool sporting activities throughout the year.
School and Interschool swimming carnivals are held early in the year.
Our Athletics Carnival is held over three days. The Kindy and Pre Primary
carnival focuses on lots of team games. The Years Four to Six students participate in our
Jumps Day events followed by all the Years One to Six students in our main carnival day.
Nominated students from Years Four to Six are then selected for the Interschool carnival.
Students are selected to participate in a full day of basketball competition against other schools.
Years Five and Six students compete against 10 other schools in a day of fun cricket
All students are encouraged to attend two weeks of swimming lessons run
by the Department of Education swimming instructors.
Years Five and Six students compete against eleven other schools in a range of sports over a full day.
We hold our cross country event at school with students given the opportunity to participate in other Interschool events.
Our school netball teams are coached after school and participate in the local netball carnivals
We have a strong affiliation with Manea Secondary College and SEDA who provide a range of sporting clinics for our students.
We host several sporting clinics throughout the year that focus on team building and skills.
