🚓 Community Helpers in Pre-Primary👮♂️
This term, our Pre-Primary students have been learning all about the wonderful community helpers who help keep us safe and support our community.
Today, we were very lucky to have a special visit from Sergeant Troy. The children loved learning about his important role as a police officer and asking lots of questions.
The highlight of the visit was getting to explore the back of his paddy wagon! 🚔 What an exciting experience for our Pre-Primary students.

Jumps Day!
Despite a few rain showers throughout the day, we were delighted to successfully complete our annual Jumps Day! With only a few brief stoppages, our pupils showed fantastic resilience, enthusiasm and determination as they took part in the events.
It was wonderful to see the encouragement on display, with everyone giving their best and supporting one another.
Well done to all of our winners and to every pupil who took part, you should all be very proud of your efforts!
A special thank you to Mrs Charles and the Manea students for their fantastic help throughout the day.
A big thank you also to all the staff who helped run the events. It is much appreciated!

Your generosity during the Give a Damn, Give a Can appeal has been incredible. Our donation trolleys filled up quickly thanks to the kindness of our students, families, and staff.
Every can, every packet, every contribution will help St Vinnies support local families who need a little extra care right now.

📚✨ 🎶 🎼 🎸 🎹
The magic of Book Week came alive last week as our students stepped into the pages of their favourite stories.
From wizards and wild things to superheroes and sparkling fairies, our parade was bursting with creativity and confidence.
Our staff excelled again this year and looked to be having so much fun with the musical theme. 💃 🎶
A huge well done to all our students — and a big thank you to families for helping bring these characters to life. What a joyful celebration of reading.

Day 4 of Book Week activities!
Students had 6 tunes to listen to and decide which book, movie or musical it came from.
There was plenty of singing amongst the guesswork.
Tomorrow final activity will be Musical Bobs.

📕 A reminder that students are to come to school in their costumes for the parade commencing at 9am.
📕Students can remain in costumes for the day however will need suitable footwear. Students who have sport will need to change into their sports uniform.
📕 Order of the parade is Year 5, Year 1, Year 4, PP, Year 3, Year 2, Year 6.
📕 Students may dress as ANY book character.

What a day Tuesday has been! It started with the Kindy Parade and what a spectacular showcase of nursery rhymes characters on display. The creativity, imagination and craftsmanship on display was truly outstanding. 🐱
At lunchtime over 100 students visited the library in search for Captain Rhythm. 🥁
We hope everyone is enjoying the book week fun so far. 🫶🏻

It was a full house in the library today. Years 1-3 completed a Guess the book character and Years 4-6 Guess the zoomed in book cover.
It was a great vibe in the library!! Prize winners will be announced the following day.

Interschool Cross Country 2026
What a fantastic day at the Interschool Cross Country!
A huge congratulations to our 42 students from Years 3–6 who proudly represented our school in the sunshine. Competing against students from 16 other schools, they showed determination, courage and resilience as they ran their hearts out.
Despite some unexpected challenges throughout the day, our students displayed outstanding sportsmanship, perseverance and maturity, proving what wonderful ambassadors they are for our school.

Our Year 5 Innovators Dive into STEM! 🌟
Our Year 5 students had an exciting day at a STEM workshop at BCC. The room was buzzing with creativity as students designed, built, tested and problem‑solved their way through a series of challenges.
We’re so proud of the confidence and resilience they displayed — and the smiles said it all. Experiences like these help spark a lifelong love of learning and innovation.

The sun shone down on a glorious day for our Year 6 students at the Winter Carnival! We were proudly represented by one AFL team, two netball teams, two soccer teams and one hockey team, with all students representing our school to the highest standard.
Some of our students also attended the South West Sports Centre (SWSC), where they participated in a variety of tabloid games, enjoying a fun filled day of activity.
Their behaviour was impeccable throughout the day, and most importantly, everyone had lots of fun while demonstrating excellent sportsmanship and teamwork.
A huge thank you to our parent helpers for their support, as well as the students from Manea Senior College and Ryan from Bunbury Catholic College for assisting with teams and helping make the day such a success. Well done to everyone involved! 🏉⚽🏑🏐

What a fantastic day at our Cross Country on Wednesday!
From Preprimay to Year 6, our pupils have been training hard since Week 1 of Term 1 and it was wonderful to see their fitness, determination and perseverance on display.
There were plenty of smiles and encouragement throughout the day. A huge congratulations to all of our place getters and winners, and an even bigger well done to every student for giving their best effort and showing such great sportsmanship.

On Thursday, 7 May thirty two Year Six students enthusiastically participated in the Southwest Science and Engineering Challenge Day. Working collaboratively in teams, they embraced the opportunity to apply higher-order thinking skills across a range of exciting engineering tasks. Throughout the day, students demonstrated outstanding persistence and resilience, tackling challenges with determination and creativity. With the support of industry experts and a team from the University of Newcastle, they rose to every challenge and should be incredibly proud of their efforts.
